Local bus services provide the main transport facilities in Ho Chi Minh City and in Hanoi. You can also travel by taxi, motorbike or cycle rickshaw (motorised version also exists). |

There are numerous internal flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hue, Da Nang and other major cities with over 30 airports in Vietnam.
There is an extensive domestic flight network operated by the national airline, Vietnam Airline.

Travel by Road in Vietnam
Car Travel in Vietnam:
Traffic drives on the right. Most towns can be reached by an adequate system of roads.
For long-term residents, an International Driving Licence and a test should be taken in Vietnam to drive in Vietnam.
You can hire chauffeur driven cars from travel companies. Self-drive car hire is non-existent in Vietnam.
Travel by Bus in Vietnam: Local buses are crowded, however the long distance buses are generally more modern and air conditioned.
